Psst! I'm going to tell you a little secret--Ferry Beach in Scarborough is my favorite local beach! A little over a year ago I photographed Shawna and Jason here for her maternity session and it seemed only fitting for us to meet there for one year pictures of their son Stellan. We had been watching the weather all week and we lucked out with a beautifully warm (albeit windy) afternoon at the beach.

It's crazy how fast a year flies by. It seems like I was just meeting them at the hospital for Stellan’s Fresh 48 session! But this is one of the reasons I feel so passionately about photographing families throughout their journey. Having these memories captured for them to look back on for years to come is the most important work I will do and I look forward to each session where I get to continue telling a family’s story. I feel so lucky that I got to see Stellan the day before he turned one and to capture him at this age. It was so fun hanging out at the beach with this sweet family, and we even got to include their adorable pup Roxi in the photos!
